Her career as an entertainer began at the age of 12 and over the years she has completed comprehensive training at some of Australia’s most respected Institutions including the Melba Conservatorium of Music (Bachelor of Music – Contemporary/Jazz), The National Theatre Drama School (Music Theatre), Centre Stage Performing Arts School and the Barbara Lynch Dance School.
A regular performer at corporate and special events, Georga is a member of ‘Soul Chic’, a successful 2-part harmony duo. Soul Chic recently had the honour of supporting Sneaky Sound System at the Crown Palladium, as well as Pink and Beyonce in their VIP lounges at Rod Laver Arena. Georga most recently performed in Adele’s VIP lounge as a pre-show to her stadium concert in March 2017.
Georga currently features as a Delta Lady in ‘Leave Your Hat On (a tribute to Joe Cocker)’ and tours Australia with Wendy Stapleton in both her ‘Dusty’ and ‘Swinging Sixties’ shows.
Georga also performs regularly at 5-star venues and piano bars with keys player Alexander Nettleback. She has toured with The Ray Charles Tribute show, the Meatloaf show ’Genius’, played the lead in the ‘The Australian Meatloaf Show’ and has supported Marcia Hines in her Georga Byrne Corporate band.
Georga regularly features at the Paris Cat Jazz Club and has fronted the Daryl Mcenzie ( Hey Hey It’s Satuday) Big Band and performs as a singer at venues such as the Eureka Tower, Crown for Clients such as Valts wagon and Porche. Georga Byrne also fronts her own DJ band and has supported Sneaky Sound System.
Her dancing prowess has seen her perform a self-choreographed solo dance piece on ABC television. Additional screen credits include ‘The Pacific’, ‘Neighbours’, ‘Blue Heelers’, ‘The Eric Banner Show ‘and ‘The Channel 7 Good Friday Appeal Variety Concert’ where she danced with prominent entertainer’s such as Tina Arena, Vanessa Amorosi and Rhonda Burchmore.
A stint at Universal Studios in Japan saw her perform in leading roles and her years of involvement with the successful children’s show ‘The Cuddly Critters’ has seen her feature in countless stage and television appearances.
As a songwriter, Georga has enjoyed success with ‘Barcelona’. This song written with Soul Chic was selected to open the Art De Jour Event as part of L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion week.
Earlier this year, she established an originals project with Alyssa Agius, called ‘The SAGA’. The pair performed alongside Fr Rob Galea & Joe Melendrez at World Youth Day in Panama City to crowds of up to 40,000 after the release of their debut single, ‘Set Fire’ which reached #9 on the TCM Charts. Most recently, their song Fearless has hit stations in both Aus and the UK.
Georga is often in the studio working a session as a songwriter, singer and voice-over artist. As a voice-over artist Georga has featured on Coles Supermarket commercials, on radio and TV singing the jingle for a Spotlight television commercial and in cinemas for Village Cinemas.
She is currently featured as a backing singer on Chris Roses new track ‘Keep Me Believing’ features on Channel 7’s Home and Away.
Georga is also currently writing and recording her first solo album.
