Georga Byrnes career as an entertainer began at the age of 12. Throughout the years, she has undergone extensive training at some of Australia’s most prestigious institutions, including the Melba Conservatorium of Music, where she received her Bachelor of Music in Contemporary/Jazz, the National Theatre Drama School (Music Theatre), Centre Stage Performing Arts School, and the Barbara Lynch Dance School.

Georga’s dancing prowess is very impressive, and she has performed a self-choreographed solo dance piece on ABC television and danced with prominent entertainers such as Tina Arena, Vanessa Amorosi, Rhonda Burchmore, and Past to Present.

Her other screen credits include ‘The Pacific,’ ‘Neighbours,’ ‘Blue Heelers,’ ‘The Eric Bana Show,’ and ‘The Channel 7 Good Friday Appeal Variety Concert,’ At just 19 years old, Georga landed the lead role at Universal Studios in Japan where she performed for 2 years, before landing a role in the successful children’s show ‘The Cuddly Critters,’ which has seen her feature in countless stage and television appearances. Georga has also featured as a Delta Lady in ‘Leave Your Hat On’ (a tribute to Joe Cocker) and tours Australia with Wendy Stapleton in both her ‘Dusty’ and ‘Swinging Sixties’ shows and the Australian Meatloaf Show. 

 

Georga, is a regular performer at corporate and special events and has had the honour of supporting some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Pink and Beyoncé in their VIP lounges at Rod Laver Arena, Sneaky Sound System at the Crown Palladium, Adele in her VIP lounge as a pre-show to her stadium concert, Marcia Heins at The Darwin Cup, and she has performed with Mike Brady at the Anzac Day Match at the MCG, and most recently before Kate Cebrano and Centerpiece Aami Park.

As a jazz singer, Georga is a regular performer at 5-star venues and piano bars such as Le Bar Supper Club, The Grand Hyatt, The Park Hyatt, The Eureka Tower and more.  She has also performed at high-profile events for clients such as Volkswagen and Porsche, Penfolds Wine, to name a few. Georga is a regular at the Paris Cat Jazz Club and performs in her own shows as well as shows with her harmony duo, Soul Chic. Recently Georga fronted the Daryl McKenzie (Hey Hey It’s Saturday) Big Band at This world Renowned jazz club. 

Georga also leads her own DJ band, ‘Stellar,’ which features some of Australia’s finest musicians. They have recently performed at major sporting events such as The Australian Grand Prix, The Australian Open, The Melbourne Cup Carnival, and The AFL Football Festival, and supported Sneaky Sound System at the Crown Palladium.

As a songwriter, Georga has achieved great success with ‘Barcelona.’ This song, written with Soul Chic, was selected to open the Art De Jour Event as part of L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Week. Recently, she established an originals project called ‘The SAGA.’ Performing alongside Fr Rob Galea at World Youth Day in Panama City to crowds of up to 40,000 after the release of their debut single, ‘Set Fire,’ which reached #9 on the TCM Charts, and their latest songs, ‘Fearless,’ ‘If I Told Ya,’ and ‘Ordinary Lives,’ have hit stations in both Australia and the UK.

Georga is also often found in the studio, working as a session songwriter, singer, and voice-over artist. She has featured on Coles Supermarket commercials as a voice-over artist, sung the jingle for a Spotlight television commercial on radio and TV, and featured in cinemas for Village Cinemas, Target, Toys R Us more Currently, she is featured as a backing singer on Chris Roses’ new track ‘Keep Me Believing,’ which features on Channel 7’s Home and Away. Additionally, Georga is currently writing and recording her first solo album and has a great love for songwriting.
